Jamie K. Gerard represents clients in the areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as estate planning, probate and estate administration, landlord-tenant, residential and commercial leasing, small to medium size business transactions and contractual issues.
Prior to joining Lennon Murphy & Phillips in 2022, she was a principal of the law firm of Nevas, Capasse & Gerard, LLC in Westport, where she practiced for over 35 years.
Ms. Gerard is admitted to the Connecticut Bar and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Real Estate and Estates and Probate Sections of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Fairfield County Bar Association.
Ms. Gerard earned her B.A. magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1977 where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. from The Washington College of Law at The American University in 1980 where she served as editor of the American University Law Review.
Ms. Gerard has been recognized by “Connecticut Super Lawyers” in the area of real estate for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. She is also one of a small group of Connecticut attorneys that has been designated by the Connecticut Bar Association as a Board Certified Residential Real Estate Specialist.
She is a former President and Board Member of The Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County and was a member of the Board of Directors of Newman’s Own Foundation from 2005 – 2021.
